Oil, natural gas prices end August sharply lower

[at MarketWatch] – Oil for October delivery finished lower on Tuesday, with losses accelerating at the close of the session. Crude futures closed down 3.7% at $71.92 a barrel. Oil closed the month of August with a drop of 8.9%, its first monthly decline since May.
